THE SETTING The cabin backs onto open land with mountain views off the deck. What you'll mostly hear is wind in the pines. Mornings tend to start with coffee outside watching the sunrise in the front yard; evenings end in the hot tub or by the fire while watching the sunset. Moose, deer, elk and wild turkeys actually do wander through the property a few times a year! THE MAIN CABIN The great room is the heart of the house — vaulted ceilings, exposed log beams, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a river-rock fireplace anchored by a deer painting that guests always notice. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking with granite counters, dual islands, and a long live-edge dining table that seats 10 and an island that seats 4. Downstairs there's a second living space with another river-rock fireplace and a big leather sectional — perfect for a movie or for splitting up if half the group wants quiet while the other half wants the great room. A wall-mounted Polycade arcade in the lower level keeps the kids (and the kids-at-heart) busy. Plenty of board games included along with a karaoke machine and NEX Playground (fun for kids and adults!). THE GOLF SIMULATOR LOUNGE - A RARE AMENITY IN PARK CITY Among roughly 8,000 vacation rentals in the Park City area, almost none have an in-house golf simulator. None we've seen are built like ours. The simulator lives in a fully finished, detached lounge a few steps from the main cabin — log walls, theater-style leather seating, two flatscreens flanking the hitting bay (so non-golfers can watch the game while someone tees off), a mini fridge, mood lighting, and a karaoke setup with a mic and PA. The setup itself runs GSPRO software on a Uneekor launch monitor — the same gear serious sim golfers build at home, with realistic ball physics and an enormous course library (Pebble Beach, Augusta, St. Andrews, you name it). Clubs for righties and lefties. Included with every stay. No extra fee. A few reasons guests love it: - Winter golf. Park City's courses close roughly October through April. The simulator is your tee time when the courses are closed. - Bad weather rescue. Storm day, fog day, low-snow week? The trip doesn't get rained out. - Group hangout, not just a golf room. Sports on the side screens, movies on the projector, karaoke when the night gets fun. Everyone ends up out here. - Detached from the main cabin. Great for groups — kids asleep in the house, adults out in the lounge. BUILT F0R FAMILIES AND GROUPS The bunk room is a kid favorite (twin-over-twin and twin-over-full bunks), and we keep a pack-n-play and high chair on hand so families with little ones don't have to pack them. With two living rooms in the main cabin plus the detached lounge, multi-family groups can split up easily — the most common feedback we get is that everyone has their own space when they want it, and a place to gather when they don't. Self check-in via smart lock on the front door. No street parking November 1 – May 1. A NOTE ON WINTER DRIVING The roads up are steep and twisty, and storms can drop 1–2 feet of snow in 24 hours. A 4WD or AWD vehicle with proper tires (or chains) is required from November through April. If you're new to mountain driving, plan extra travel time and check conditions before you head up. We're local and happy to advise. LOCAL OWNERS, HANDS-ON HOSTS We're Krista and Christian. We live in Park City and personally manage the Crestview Cabin. Christian designed and built the simulator lounge himself; it's not a vacation-rental afterthought, it's a real enthusiast's setup. We're 15 minutes away if anything ever comes up during your stay, and we genuinely care about every detail.
